Anne Arundel County has 437 miles of picturesque shoreline and, as if that were not enough, the Chesapeake offers access to beautiful rivers and inlets of neighboring counties. The Chesapeake Bay is considered one of the finest cruising grounds in the world.

There is a seemingly endless succession of sailing competitions each year. The prestigious Annapolis-Newport Race is launched in Annapolis each spring. The Governor’s Cup is one of the most popular events in the fall.
Launching Ramps
An excellent selection of public boat-launching facilities are maintained by municipal and county governments. Many water-privileged communities offer boat launching facilities for their residents. Public marinas are plentiful.
Fishing

Cycling
Maryland welcomes the cyclist with miles of scenic roadways and bike trails. Maryland designated the bicycle a vehicle, and it must be ridden with the flow of traffic. For more information call 410-767-3400.
