Sailor Oyster Bar: $1 Oysters During Happy Hour
If you’re a fan of seafood, there’s no better time to visit Sailor Oyster Bar than during happy hour. It runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 4 p.m. to close on Sunday. Happy hour offers local oysters at just $1 apiece and upscale beer and wine at bargain prices.
Whet your whistle at happy hour and then decide if you want to stay for dinner—chances are your answer will be a resounding “yes.” You can continue the oyster feast with a dozen local, east coast, or west coast oysters, or move on to caviar, spiced calamari, or yellowfin tuna belly. For something more filling, order a “Bloney” Sandwich stuffed with mortadella, aged Gouda, arugula, and a spicy, creamy sauce.
