Unexpected Dishes Await at Tarin Thai Cuisine

Fans of Thai food now have another option in Annapolis. Tarin Thai Cuisine opened on Main Street in November, with Chef Nina Siriwongthawan at the helm. She spent years traveling all over Thailand in order to craft authentic, traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and drunken noodles.

What sets Tarin apart is its Northeast Province influence. Food from this region of Thailand is a combination of Thai and Lao, due to its close proximity to Laos. So you can order popular Lao dishes like  larb gai, a minced chicken salad with chili and lime juice, and som tam, a spicy green shredded papaya salad. As with most Thai restaurants, Tarin is vegetarian-friendly, so feel free to ask for tofu as a substitute for meat.
